Favourite Outfit- Avery Huia

hellooooooo!

I hope you are always having a good day! today I have a post for you about one of my favourite outfits at the moment.

I am SO excited for winter, it is my favourite season ever, and one of the main reasons why is because of the fashion! I love the colours, styles and pieces in winter, and it makes me so happy, layering and being all warm!

The outfit that I have for you today is one that I really like wearing, and is perfect for winter, when it is cold or raining or windy.

When I was shooting this, it started to rain, so we got an umbrella and I really love the way that it turned out, I think it looks really cool and you will definitely be seeing more of this! 

+ jumper = topshop

+ jacket = just jeans

+ jeans = one teaspoon

+ shoes = adidas 

+ umbrella = blunt

+ sunglasses = cotton on

three winter to spring looks - avery huia

hellooo!

as we are nearly heading into spring in new zealand, I thought it might be a good idea to share with you some looks for transitioning from warm winter clothes, into slightly cooler outfits. I have come up with three different styles, that you might like to try out.

this first outfit is very simple and casual, and I really like how you could wear this type of outfit at lots of different occasions. the denim skirt is from glassons, the top is from huffer, and the cardigan is from factorie. I love all of the components in this outfit, and I love them even more together. this outfit is still warm for the last couple of winter weeks, but still cool enough to wear in spring.

this outfit is very sporty, and is also very basic. I really like this jacket, as it really stands out, and makes the outfit pop, while the black top and jeans are still tying in with the outfit, but letting the jacket be the main piece. the top is adidas, the jeans are from junkfood, and the jacket is from kmart!

this outfit is definitely more spring like, with the floral jumpsuit and lighter cardigan. it is very girly and adds a bit of colour to an outfit. this is perfect for spring because the colour scheme still has a few neutral tones, but is slowly leading into more summery tones. the jumpsuit and the cardigan are both from factorie.

these are all really stylish outfits, and are great styles for the end of winter - start of spring season.

Winter Outfit Inspiration - avery huia

helloooo!

in new zealand, we are heading into winter. and i thought you might like to see some inspiration for outfits to keep you warm, but ones that still look good.

i think patterned tops are such a key piece, and always make a simple outfit stand out. i got mine from topshop, and i love it so much. the colours would go with any shade of jeans, and it is so versatile.

i love army green, and i think it is an amazing colour for winter, and such a good base for accessories, and it works with so many different colours. this one is from cotton on.

i love blouses, and this one is amazing! i love the pattern, length and feel of this, and it is going to get lots of wear this winter and hopefully more to come. this is from glassons.

i think black or plain colours like greys and whites are musts for winter, and long sleeves too. this top from glassons ticks so many boxes, and it is made with such nice material, and is so comfy. 

i wore all of these outfits with jeans from wild pair, but by the brand junkfood, and chelsea boots from gino pucci. these are some of my favourite items in my wardrobe, and they are so versatile and work with many different pieces.

Winter Knits - Avery Huia

hellooooo!

down here in new zealand, it is starting to get a bit colder, and you can get away with layering up the knitted jumpers and scarves and beanies ect. i'm going to share with you a few of my favourite knit items, and ways you can style them! 

jumpers. i absolutely love jumpers and have way too many, but i think they can change your look so much, by adding a bit of colour, texture or just some warmth. i have picked out a couple that i really like, and want to show you.

this one is from esp by esprit, and it is very fluffy. it isn't a jumper that you would wear to protect yourself from wind and rain, but i really like the cut of it. it isn't too big, but is slightly oversized, which i love.

the second is from glassons and this isn't as big as the other, but still has that sort of material. it is black and white and quite geometric, it is a much loved item in my wardrobe as is so comfy and warm.

i really like styling knits with jeans, especially skinny ones. in the photo with the grey jumper, the jeans are from glassons, and i really love they way that they look together. i also love jumpers with accessories, like scarves and beanies, here a few of my favourites.

i have a circle scarf from cotton on, and it is navy blue and also knit material. it is so warm and easy to wear, and being navy blue, goes with anything. i love the way circle scarves sit, and like jumpers, add so much texture and also warmth! this is the third winter i have had this, and i very rarely go out without it.

lastly, i have a knit black beanie, you can get these absolutely anywhere, though this one if from h&m. i think if you style them right, you can make them look amazing, but it is very easy to ruin the look with one. i personally like beanies with my hair down and the brim of it rolled, and i think they look so cute and they put me in the mood for winter haha ;)
