Winter Outfit Inspiration - avery huia

Sunday, 28 June 2015

helloooo!

in new zealand, we are heading into winter. and i thought you might like to see some inspiration for outfits to keep you warm, but ones that still look good.

i think patterned tops are such a key piece, and always make a simple outfit stand out. i got mine from topshop, and i love it so much. the colours would go with any shade of jeans, and it is so versatile.

i love army green, and i think it is an amazing colour for winter, and such a good base for accessories, and it works with so many different colours. this one is from cotton on.

i love blouses, and this one is amazing! i love the pattern, length and feel of this, and it is going to get lots of wear this winter and hopefully more to come. this is from glassons.

i think black or plain colours like greys and whites are musts for winter, and long sleeves too. this top from glassons ticks so many boxes, and it is made with such nice material, and is so comfy.

i wore all of these outfits with jeans from wild pair, but by the brand junkfood, and chelsea boots from gino pucci. these are some of my favourite items in my wardrobe, and they are so versatile and work with many different pieces.

hope you enjoyed!

A Trip To Topshop! - Avery Huia

Saturday, 14 March 2015

Hellooo!

As you may or may not know, Topshop came to Auckland last Thursday. I had been wanting to go ever since I found out that it was coming and while we were in town, went went to some of my favourite stores and we picked up a few things. I was really impressed at the size and some of the cool displays inside and I was lucky enough to pick up a few pieces aswell.

At Lush, a bath bomb that I had wanted for a really long time, but everytime I went into a Lush, they didn't have it, was in stock! Yay! This bomb is called Dragon's Egg, and is creamy white with little coloured circles inside, and I think it will be really pretty when I use it.

I got some Freedom by Topshop scrunchies as you can never have too many, and a soft ballet slipper pink nail polish.

I have wanted some jeans with rips in the knees for a while, and I found a pair at Wild Pair. They are by the brand JunkFood and they are so comfy and perfect! They will be great for winter, as I have grown out my other jeans. At Cotton On Body, I found a soft and cosy dressing gown, perfect for winter and I love it!

Finally, at Topshop I found two tops and a jumper. The first top (left) is a navy blue ribbed long sleeve crop top, and this fits so well on me and is really comfortable and the material is such good quality! The second top (right) is quite a fancy top with a really cool pattern, and the material on this feels really nice too! Lastly the jumper (middle) is a kind of cropped sweater, coming just above the waist of my jeans, and the top part is a corally pinkish colour and the neck and cuffs are mustard yellow, and the body is marbled grey. This jumper is so comfy and really cool and I love the look and cut of it.

I'm really happy with all of my purchases at the moment, and they have created some really cool staples for winter, because I've grown since last winter, and I don't fit some of last years items.

i hope you enjoyed!

Palmerston North - Avery Huia

Sunday, 26 October 2014

Kia Ora! For the last few days, I have been in Palmerston North, and while I was there, I picked a few things up from The Plaza (mall). I went to Lush, Factorie, Kmart and Wild Pair! I hope you enjoy!

Floral Playsuit: Factorie
Tribal Playsuit: Factorie
Shoes: Soda / Wild Pair
Black Top: Kmart
Bath Bomb & Bubble Bar: Lush

I really love the play suits, and I think they are perfect for summer! They are great for a day at the beach, but you can also dress them up and wear them to parties! For the shoes, I have seen this style a lot recently and they are so cool and comfy! The top has a slight floral detail, but it is a bit hard to see in the picture.

From Lush, I got the Twilight bath bomb, and it's a sweet lavender scent, and it is purple with specks of pink and yellow. The bubble bar is Always Look On The Bright Side, and this is a very fruity orange scent! My room smells amazing, and I am so excited to try them!

I hope you enjoyed this, thanks for reading! Love from Avery Huia xxx
