LUSH Christmas! - Avery Huia

Saturday, 28 November 2015

hellooo!

sorry about the late post - my computer has stopped working so it has been a very slow week!

today I have another Christmas post, that I couldn't resist for much longer! If any of you are lushies, Lush's christmas range is a big deal, and very exciting! I am in love with all of these products, and I hope that you find some products that you will too! these items would also be great for christmas gifts for friends!

I have chosen 8 items that I love from the range, and they are all so different, but smell so good!

a - bath bombs
I have pictured above Intergalactic, which is only available in the Oxford St store in London, Yog Nog, Golden Wonder and Dashing Santa.

+ intergalactic
this is a very minty smelling bomb, and it is mainly blue but has colours too. this is covered in glitter and is quite big, and I can't wait to use this. I have seen tons of videos of this, and it looks so good! it is only available in gift packages in stores other than Oxford.

+ yog nog
this is a really interesting smelling bomb, but it has grown on me, and I quite like it! it is white and a creamish yellowy colour and it looks very pretty

+ golden wonder
I have tried this before and it is amazing! it is in the shape of a present with a bow, and it such a pretty bath and little stars float at the end! it smells amazing aswell!

+ dashing santa
I haven't tried this before, but it is really cute, and is shaped like a little santa dashing around with his presents. It smells very citrusy and is a red colour.

b - miscellaneous

+ santa's belly shower jelly
I love the Sweetie Pie shower jelly, and it is hard to top, but I think this might have done it! It is described as smelling like wine and red apples, and has little stars in the bottom. it acts as a semi solid shower jelly, and does exactly what that does, and you can re use it!

+ yog nog soap
this is the same scent as the bath bomb, but in a soap. it is the same as your usual soap, but is very melt-y, so I imagine that it would be very moisturising.

+ candy mountain bubble bar
with this, you run it under the bath, and you can re use it by crumbling it, or use the whole thing to create mountains of bubbles! this smells really sweet, and is very sparkly and makes my baths amazing!

+ salt and peppermint bark
this is a scrub, and you rub it onto your body in the shower, and it is harsh, but after it is washed off, is super softening! I love this so much, and I think that it is my favourite out of the 8!

I love these products, and they have definitely contributed to me getting into the christmas spirit! they all smell so good, and there is a scent for everyone at Lush!

lush loves - avery huia

Hellloooo!

If you have been following me for a while, you would know that I LOVE Lush, and everything about it, from the amazing products to their amazing causes. I have been a big fan of Lush for quite a while now, and I have managed to narrow the list of my favourite products down to just five. Here are my Top 5 Favourites from Lush!

- Brightside Bubble Bar - this is a very orange bubble bar, which you crumble under running bathwater, and it creates bubbles in your bath. This smells really citrusy, and you get quite a few baths out of this as it is quite big.

- Luxury Lush Pud Bath Bomb - this is a bath bomb, which you drop into a full bath, and then it fizzes and colours your water and gives off an amazing scent. It is very colourful and unfortunately only available at Christmas, but I picked one up from the #christmasinjuly range. It smells like the Twilight bomb, and also has a little piece of holly on top.

- Rub Rub Rub Shower Scrub - this is such an incredible scrub, and is so smoothing, especially if you put it on dry skin before you hop into the shower. It smells quite musky, and is described as having mimosa blossom and lemon juice. This is really awakening and refreshing, and I like using this in the morning.

- Sweetie Pie Shower Gel - this is a shower jelly which is exactly what it sounds like - jelly but for the shower so like a semi solid shower gel. It also smells like heaven, like cherries, and coconut and it has sparkles inside too! I love this and it makes your skin so smooth. This product will be discontinued, so I suggest getting this as soon as possible.

- Rose Jam Shower Gel - this is a plain shower gel, but it smells like roses and flowers! This is also only available at Christmas, but when it comes back, I highly suggest getting this as it is so moisturising and I love it! It is definitely more of a relaxing, night time sort of product.

If I had to choose a favourite, I think I would choose the shower jelly or the bath bomb. They are all so good and if you can get your hands on any of this, I definitely would.

Another Trip to Lush! - Avery Huia

Sunday, 5 April 2015

good morning/afternoon/evening!

today i went to lush (again) and i was in there for a long time, but came out with a few things that i really want to try,  and want to share with you!

i am a huge fan of lush, and love all of their products and i'm always looking for excuses to go in and buy things. when i went this time, i wanted to get some easter things, but the things i wanted has been sold out, luckily i found some other things that i'm really excited about!

whenever i go into lush i try to get at least one bath bomb or bubble bar etc, and this time i decided to get the very popular bomb 'big blue'. i have heard great things about this and in photos it always looks amazing and i am so excited to try it! it

i also got a shower gel called 'the olive branch' and it smells so good! it has olive oil, mandarin, bergamot oil and vine leaves and it is really refreshing and uplifting! i tried it today and i love it!

my grandmas birthday was yesterday, and i got her the 'butterfly' gift. inside it has two things, a soap, 'sultana of soap', and a body conditioner 'ro's argan'. they both smell really nice and aren't too overpowering.

i also got two testers, one in 'ocean salt' a very popular scrub, which i have heard great things about, and 'let the good times roll' face and body cleanser. they both smell amazing and i am excited to try them and maybe get the larger versions!

i hope you enjoyed this :)

Relaxing Tips for Bedtime - Avery Huia

Tuesday, 27 January 2015

Hello there!

Before bed, I like to relax so I get a good night's sleep, and I thought that you might need some tips on how to wind down :)

First I usually run a bath with something from Lush in it weather it be a bath bomb or a bubble bar, just something fun and sweet smelling, but I'm not saying this has to be from Lush. Once I'm in, I like to read a book or just lie back and close my eyes.

Once I'm out of the bath, I put some lukewarm water into a mug, and sit a Sleepy time teabag in with camomile inside. Then I take it down to my room and read for a bit. At the moment I am reading Alice's Adventures in Wonderland, but sometimes I read through Lush catalouges and plan my next trip or things that I could try.

I try and stay off electronics for half an hour before I go to bed, and aside from reading, I like to tidy my room or stretch. Then I turn off the lights and lie back and sip my tea, then fall asleep.

Frank Coffee Scrub - Review - Avery Huia

Thursday, 27 November 2014

kiaaaaaa orraaaa! I decided to treat myself, by buying Frank , and to try it out and see how it works! I have heard great things about this, and it was reccomeneded to me by a friend. It came very fast, in less than a week from the day I placed the order. I tried it out and it is amazing! You can use it in the bath or shower.

First, you wet the places on your body that you want to scrub on, and then take a small handful and scrub away! Be careful not to wet the places it is on, as you are supposed to leave them to dry for 5-10 mins, and then wash it off and voila! It leaves you silky smooth, and lasts for quite a while (a week or so). It helps to moisturise after too. I would definitely reccomend this, for anyone looking for a treat! They ship worldwide, and it comes in 3 types, original, cacao and coconut + grape-seed, you can also buy a body balm to use after. If you use this once a week, it should last several months! Enjoy! I know I did!
